This is my 10 year itch.
I was last on a long travel stint back in mid 2005 and start of 2006 when I covered central America, Brazil and Venezuela. It was time to return to reality. However, after 5 years in my office manager role in Covent Garden it was time for a change. A number of different friends had suggested different locations for possible trips for the start of 2016. Who was I to turn them down?
On the 16th December 2015 I finished my job and 10 days later my flat was packed up, my bag was hitting 22kg and it was time to leave the cold of Christmas and start my flights that would get me three quarters of the way around the world.
Let’s see what happens next…
